HI, I'MÂ
I am an emerging artist with a love for emotion and its visual expression.
My painting journey started in childhood, being mentored by the late Charles Cassar right into my late teens.
My fascination with the human form remained a constant and manifested itself into painting portraits with a particular focus on the emotional state. In my personal work, I attempt to capture a specific facial gesture, with the aim of using the imagery to transfer a mood, a message, or even a feeling.
I spend most of my time in my home studio, painting portrait commissions and expanding my personal body of work, exploring how human expression can be received and interpreted, versus how the subject intends to communicate its emotion.

Prepare for this webinar:
One of the biggest challenges in portrait painting isn't drawing or brushwork.
It's knowing whether the colour you're mixing is actually correct.
In this free webinar, I'll show you how to mix skin tones more confidently, accurately, and efficiently, so you can spend less time second-guessing your decisions and more time painting.
Together we'll paint a portrait while exploring the key principles behind successful colour mixing, including:
- Understanding value, chroma, and colour temperature in skin tones
- Mixing colours efficiently without creating mud
- Organising and managing your palette for faster decision-making
- Developing confidence in your colour choices
- Using colour-picking tools as a learning aid
- Training your eye to judge colour more accurately, even without digital assistance
This session is designed for artists who often feel uncertain about their colour mixtures, struggle to match reference photos, or find their portraits becoming muddy and overworked.
By the end of the webinar, you'll have a clearer understanding of how colours relate to one another, a more efficient approach to palette management, and practical methods you can immediately apply to your own portrait paintings.
A reference photo for the live demonstration will be sent via WhatsApp closer to the webinar date.
