Over the past few weeks, I have been rebuilding and refining my CHARACTER PORTRAIT PAINTING COURSE from the ground up.

This updated course includes new lessons and improved demonstrations aimed at helping you simplify your process and brushwork to create expressive portraits that capture the true character of your subject.

Together, we will study the work of the king of portraiture, John Singer Sargent, observing how he carefully limited and simplified his brushstrokes to create paintings that feel timeless, atmospheric, realistic, and deeply representative of both the individual and the mood surrounding them.

Alongside this master study, the course includes several additional portrait painting demonstrations where we explore not only the face itself, but also the atmosphere surrounding it: hands, clothing, fabric, edges, lighting, and the subtle visual language that gives a portrait life and presence.

These updates will officially launch in June.

If you are already enrolled in the course, all new material will automatically be added to your existing access. No additional action is needed.
